Exploring Montana with our dogs is one of the best parts of summer. From local trails to backcountry camping trips, our four-legged adventure partners are often right there beside us. But when you spend time outdoors, it’s important to know how to respond if your dog gets injured on the trail or during an adventure.
That’s why The Base Camp is partnering with Yellowstone Valley Animal Shelter (YVAS) and one of their knowledgable veterinarians, hands-on Pet First Aid Clinic focused on outdoor safety and emergency care for dogs.
This practical and informative session will cover essential skills every dog owner should know before heading outside, including:
- How to treat common outdoor injuries in dogs
- What to pack in a trail-ready pet first aid kit
- Emergency response tips from a YVAS expert
- How to stay prepared during hikes, camping trips, and outdoor adventures
Whether you’re exploring close to home or venturing deeper into Montana’s backcountry, these tips can help you feel more confident and prepared when adventuring with your pup.
In addition to the clinic, guests will enjoy a few fun extras, including:
- Pet first aid kits available for purchase ($30)
- A raffle giveaway for a chance to win a free kit
- In-store discounts, giveaways, and coupons during the event
- Time to ask questions directly with a YVAS expert
The Base Camp will remain open during the clinic, so guests can shop, learn, and stock up on gear for both themselves and their dogs.
