Join us for our Outdoor Education Series, this time with The Base Camp and the Friends of the Gallatin National Forest Avalanche Center (Friends of the Gallatin National Forest Avalanche Center).

This month, join an instructor from the Friends of the GNFAC for an introductory conversation on basic avalanche awareness and safety.

Topics covered include:
– Avalanche terrain recognition
– Effect weather has on avalanche hazard
– Development of mountain snowpack
– Decision making skills
– Basic search and rescue procedures
