The Base Camp's Exciting New Chapter: Meet the Next Generation Owners, Lauren and Cody Brown!

The Base Camp Retail Stores, a beloved fixture in the outdoor retail community, is thrilled to announce a momentous transition in ownership. The torch has officially passed from the capable hands of the original store owners, Scott and Deb Brown, to their daughters, Cody and Lauren Brown. This exciting change marks a new era for the Base Camp, continuing its legacy of providing exceptional outdoor gear and fostering a sense of community among outdoor enthusiasts.

The Base Camp is not just a store; it's a community rooted in values of family, friendship, and a shared love for the great outdoors. This transition recognizes the profound responsibility to the store’s dedicated staff and the communities it served. The mission is to carry forward the vision the entire Base Camp team has so masterfully crafted over the past 48 years.

Experience Meets Enthusiasm

Lauren and Cody bring a diverse skill set to the Base Camp. Lauren, with degrees in Photography and Graphic Design, has successfully operated her own photography business for over 20 years and is passionate about spending quality time in the outdoors with her family, skiing, rafting and camping. Cody, a Fashion Design and Merchandising graduate, has explored global manufacturing, owned and operated restaurants, and worked with artisanal textiles, all while fostering a commitment to the environment.

A Bright Future Beckons

The transition process will commence in the coming months. During this time, the stores will continue to operate as usual, with exciting changes on the horizon. Lauren and Cody are looking forward to connecting with the communities of Helena and Billings, working with the outstanding staff and getting to serving our fine patrons. Their excitement also extends to their parents' well-deserved retirement and the new adventures they will embark upon.

Together, they will continue to write the next chapter, paying homage to the roots of the Base Camp, and they can't wait to see what the future holds.
