Red Lodge Nordic Center Ski Report

Thursday, November 9, 2017

Our site is back up and running, so here is out first grooming report of the year. All Near and Far Side trails have been rolled and groomed. Some track has been set, but the snow is almost to thin for this. At this point we are in the business of packing down snow and creating a base. Skiing is a bonus. That being said, the skiing is not too bad. It is typical early season conditions, with some thin spots, some grass showing, some dips where we cross ditches, and some springs melting out our snow, so watch for all these hazards. There are a couple of trails on the Far Side that are closed until we get more snow, otherwise, everything is open. The new warming hut is also open for your use. This is the earliest opening we’ve ever had so think snow, and have fun.
